Foundation is typically put on after moisturizer. It helps even out skin tones and helps the rest of your makeup to stay put. Depending on your age you may or may not need it yet but if you are thinking of getting one go to a department store where they do makeup for free and have someone match you skin type. You should not feel it and it should match your skin tone.

Foundation is a powder/liquid substance that you cover up your skin with. Comes in several different shades of skin colors (ex. medium beige)
