Homeless shelters are there to HELP. If she got kicked out she obviously wasnt doing what she needed to stay there. If she is going to burn her last bridge then perhaps she needs to just live on the streets for a while to get her head out of her as.s.
Im sorry if this sounds mean but i have lived in homeless shelters before and its really not that hard to follow the rules.

Since you got kick out of one shelter. Have you tried any of the other shelters. New York/New Jersey are big cities, I'm sure they have more than one shelter. You also can trying getting jobs and pooling your money together and getting an apartment. Other than that, I don't have any more suggestions.

There are homeless shelters or battered woman shelters in nearly every city.Tell them to call the salvation army,they usually can help,or call a church they help people a lot also.
