That is what they are doing. Girls are coming on here making up pregnancy symptoms to get an answer on if they might be pregnant or not. Face it, if they hear a possibility that they are they sit at home on their computer and think that wow, this is going to be great and my boyfriend will have to stay with me forever. And if not, they will make up symptoms to their friends who are like oh yea I get to babysit! Its rediculous! Girls you need to find better ways to use your time. Please dont "Want" to be pregnant or feel the need to keep your boyfriend, Its not worth your life. What does everyone else thing about the "false pregnancy symptoms" for attention?

For the people who thought I was being rude, you must have read this wrong. Was I directing it to every young, teenage girl, of course not. But the ones who OBVIOUSLY make these symptoms up. You can tell if you looked at the other questions they have asked. Just a little 2 second research. I went to high school with girls that "faked" being pregnant. It takes away from the girls that really are pregnant and need help. I dont know if theses girls did this willingly, were raped whatever. That is not my place. But it is my place, like everyone else in this world to know of what is going on around me. And if girls are pretending to be pregnant or are getting pregnant for attention. They need to know to knock it off. What is rude is that you dont see that. Im not talking 17-18 year old girls I'm taking about the girls that are 12-13-14 years old that dont know enough to raise a child.

the only thing that irritates me about yahoo answers is all of the people that are constantly asking "am i pregnant?" i consult my 8 ball on EVERY one of those questions. why don't people just do the mature thing BUY A TEST. and as for all of the kids wanting to be parents?... well, protective services will give the babies a good home sooner or later.

I agree with you. I think in some cases the girls want to be pregnant to either keep a man or to have someone to love because they are lonely. These girls are so anxious that as soon as something out of the ordinary occurs they think they are pregnant like a headache or something. Obviously these girls don't understand the dedication and responsibility of having a child. I think that instead of girls coming on Yahoo and asking the same questions over and over they should look for similar questions that have already been posted and answered. I have seen so many questions about pregnancy symptoms over and over. If they would just read the responses to the first pregnancy symptom question they wouldn't have to ask and get the same answers!
Then again there are women on here who are serious about having a baby and are ready for the responsibility but instead of asking their doctors they come on Yahoo to share experiences.

I agree, I too am so sick of seeing the pregnancy questions. Not to mention how sad it is that all of these young kids (12-18 year olds) think how great it will be to be pregnant. Why not stay in school, get a meaningful job and relationship for that matter and do things the right way? I am tired of them thinking that raising a child in not a full-time job and that we are willing to support them and their b$%^%&* children. Someone else mentioned that CPS would provide a good home for them soon, unfornuately that is not always the case either. There are not enough good families out there to take care of all these babies and most of the time, CPS gets involved after the babies are already dead due to neglect.

I think your post is rude. Some may do it, but not all. If they do, then that is why our responses need to be appropriate. Why are you so concerned with what others do to get attention?? A lot of the people on here are attention junkies or know-it-alls. It's the perfect outlet. You can get attention from people you don't know and not be socially condemned in real life and if you feel like you have a lot of opinions to share, or are really nosy about others lives, you answer a lot of questions. That is what I am beginning to discover about this place. And frankly it bothers me. Can't you just have a resource with other normal people? Of course not! People have to ruin it!!

I don't agree with you, and to tell you the truth you are very rude! First off "I" am young and pregnant... I didn't do it so my fiance would stay with me... it was really a little miracle! Don't come on here an act like you didn't have questions about sex and pregnacy when you were a teenager! When I found out I was pregnant five months ago, I didn't know what symptons to look for! I was scared and I wanted to ask people (other than my parents) what I should be preparing for... sympton wise! So maybe these teens on here ARE really pregnant and just want to ask an adult thats not there parents... what to look for!!

Unfortunatly, protective services doesn't do a very good job at protecting...
But yeah, I agree, it's ridiculious. These children come on and think they know everything. I thank whatever God might be listening to me that I never got pregnant from some of my less than bright moments. My 21st birthday falls on a Friday. Would I be able to go out and party like I want to if I had children? Most likely, no. Or I'd be worried about them all night rather than enjoying my birthday. Etc.

I have to agree with you here. Apparently it's a new fad to be a pregnant teenager. And it's probably so popular now because of all the little teenie-boppers who like Britney Spears and the media making such a big deal of who in Hollywood is pregnant this week. I am so tired of all the "am I pregnant?" questions on here. Common sense would dictate that you carry your @$$ to the store and get a pregnancy test.
You'll probably agree with the question I posted on here earlier about pregnancy questions, also.

Isn't this the truth. I used to work at Planned Parenthood and would see 13,14 and 15 year old girls coming in for pregnancy test hoping they were pregnant. They don't have a clue about how much their lives will change if they have a baby. I have a 6 month old and it is exhausting for me some days!

It's sad, for there are real girls out there that our pregnant and need help and people faking symptoms are not helping out the situation with the people that are Young and really pregnant. You would think that they would grow up and have enough common sense, but I think they'll do anything for attention or to keep their man!! =^..^=

Good point. A lot of girls make up things to keep their boyfriends, some do actually get pregnant on purpose. The boyfriend eventually leaves them either way.
