well, go to hollywood. I also want to be a child star. I can sing and write my own songs (and play a few instruments). The thing is, out of all the pepo, its hard to get discovered without some connections. Tell your parents to sign you up for a commerical or something. I Wish u luck!

Tired of all the kids who think they have talent and want to be somebody. There are loads of people (kids) out there with talent and most never make it big. You have to have connections in the world of entertainment, go on auditions, and know how to sing, dance, act, and pose. You need training and dedication. Just wanting to be a child star simply won't cut it, kid. There are few who ever make the cut and the competition is FIERCE! Acting is not a contest it's a skill and you can either do it or you can't. You need to get into school theater and community theater, and anywhere else you can get experience. There are few Dakota Fannings (she's kind of lame anyway, in my book), and again, for every one of her (who has made it big) there are literally thousands and thousands who never do. Concentrate on school and getting a good education and stop the "I wanna be a child star" routine. Your chances are slim to none at all.

If you want to be a child star, then acting isn't for you. You should take up acting because that's what you LOVE to do.
ask your mother to take you to your local Community theathe and/or local college(s) to see if there are any plays you can be in. Find out if there are reputable acting coaches in your area, so you can take classes.
There are alot of companies that try to scam you. Check with the Better Business Bureau first to see if there are complaints filed against them. Never give a agency money. They make money after you book a job. Never use there photographer. (You won't get what you paid for. Find your OWN)

ive answered so many questions with grls wantin to be big like me(a 13 year old grl) and like 4 14 year olds, and many 12 year olds Ive already talked to. its hard. . everyone thinks they have chance. . .including me. I can sing and play guitar but i wanna act with no clue where to go. . .but my dad has some comedy show ideas that r great and if it works out i can act off that and move onto better things but try craigslist.org it has many auditions and job offers in ur state. it didnt help me much cause not much goes on in michigan. good luck though. I hope the best for both of us. But i have to tell u. U wont get discovered off this. u could be lieing and ppl cant see ur real face or no about u. get out there. im still trying to find a way without moving to LA or NY but i cant anyways. so many ppl say to go to theatres but its hard and i understand what u mean. let me no how it goes.:)

As far as I know, you can't just be blasted to the top. But if you go for all the acting opportunities available to you, you'll get somewhere sometime. (yeah I know that wasn't really what you wanted to hear, but that's life)

Acting isn't a contest

No, but, perhaps you can talk one of your parents into quitting their job, move to Hollywod, or, New York and manager your career. The mother of Beyonce (Destiny's Child) managed their career.
