As much as it pains me, I'd say A's
A's have pitching depth, with a main starter like Zito, and a bullpen
with the likes of Street. They don't have the bats like the Rangers or even the Mariners, but I'd take my chances with the pitching staff.
And their manager is semi-competent. A club like the Rangers is handicapped by their manager. Billy Beane is a pretty competent GM, though John Daniels is getting there. Beane couldn've done more at the trade deadline, but he didn't do anything overly stupid.

There are only 4 teams in the AL West. The last place team(The Seattle Mariners) is only 3 games behind the first place teams, so anyone could win.

My favorite team is the Angels (and Blue Jays for AL East) so I'm rooting for them, of course. They've been playing much better as of late. If my teams don't take it, I'll be happy as long as those rotten Yankees don't win.

I like the rangers. I think Showalter will show them the way this year.
