I sure did hunni, when i was in Dawson, we went to this place called Swan Lake, and the only washrooms availbale were the old outhouses. Needless to say after the first trip into the stench, i used the woods......became one with nature....

Yes. I am 37 and when my brother and I were kids (about 5&6), we moved to an older farmhouse where there was still an outhouse. Although the house had modern indoor plumbing, and we had had it all our lives, we used the outhouse quite a bit since we spent a lot of time playing outdoors and didn't want to go inside. We thought it was fun. Smelly and gross, but lots of fun for kids. Of course, we had an alternative, indoors. Not so much fun if you don't...

Yes! I grew up in the country and had to use one many times.I hated it because of the spiders and bees inside it.We didn't have an indoor toilet or running water until I was 8 years old.Would never go back to that outhouse era again.

i think so. do all those shitters in the ojai parks count? they have deep dark holes in the ground under them, i even heard of some sicko that was wondering around down there for a good view at one time. i never could get over that and be as comfortable as one could be in an outhouse again after that.

Yes and it was DISGUSTING!!! I had to use it when I went to visit him, he is a hillbilly and had no inside toilet at the time. The next time i had to use the potty, i picked a bush. I couldn't bare the thought of going in there again.

yes, i have an uncle who lives out in the woods during the summer/early fall months - no electricity, no nothing in northern wisconsin. he claims that its good for you. i had to stay with him a week to help him build a bridge. i prefered to just "go" in the lake, but he said it polluted it. so i used the outhouse and it smeeled terrible.
