I read up on this but cant find anything on before giving birth anyone know???

You can only have mastitis after you give birth. Labor and delivery hormones trigger your body to start the lactation process and then the milk starts flowing. When the milk get clogged, an infection can result. Although pregnant women do leak some milk, there's not enough milk flowing to actually lead to a mastitis infection.

I don't think so!!! But you should ask your doctor just to be sure. I got mastitis while I was breastfeeding my son, all I remember was I had a fever and my breast hurt bad and they gave me an antibiotic to get rid of It. I really don't think that you can get mastitis before birth, but be sure to ask your doctor of any concerns you have. CoNgRaTs!!! I wish you the best and I hope my answer was able to help you out.

Yes you can. I have it right now and it's very painful. My doctor ordered an ultrasound and wanted to make sure there was no abscess in the breast. Now I'm on heavy dosage of pregnancy safe anabiotic's

Not unless you are already nursing a child. It comes from having a plugged duct, and the ducts become plugged only after you are lactating.
