Currently, it is "THE GREAT ESCAPE" w/Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, David McCallum...
It is so cool! I love True stories like this because it really happened-if it isn't true it isn't very cool because anyone can just make something up, it isn't amazing, someone just made it all up. But in this, it REALLY happened, people actually did do that! No one had to make it up or anything, it is real! I mean, the characters are mostly composites and the motorcycle part is made up, but otherwise it is totally true!! You should read the book that it is based on (by Paul Brickhill) it's even better than the movie, it's really awesome!
BTW my fav. character is David Mccallum as Ashley-Pitt "Dispersal", although McQueen's part (as Hilts the cooler king) is cool too. I like basicly all the characters alot though, except the Gestapo guys are disturbing.

The Wizard of Oz. Written in 1899, filmed in 1939 and it's timeless. A beautiful story, academy award winning music, the first movie in color (tied w/ Gone w/ the Wind), good for all generations. And, virtually everyone has seen it. I don't think any other movie has been watched (and sung) so often and by so many people

Bridget Jones's Diary, what a hilarious movie, and an excellent interpretation of the book, but that was certain as Helen Fielding wrote the screenplay.

Lt. Cl. Frank Slade did it for me in the movie "Scent of a Woman". This movie is a modern classic comparable with any of the greats!

There are several movies that I like. However, if I still were a kid, I would choose Walt Disney's 'The Jungle Book' as my favorite.
