I get about 8 hours of sleep at night, sometimes more. I eat pretty good. I just have no energy.

It's natural to feel tired as your hormones are changing in your body! Take the time to rest, but also make sure that you are getting enough iron in your system. Iron deficiency (anaemia) is a big problem for pregnant women, if your iron is low it will give you that lethargic feeling!

Good luck with your pregnancy! I am a labour & delivery nurse so if you have any more questions you can email me at cutern4u@hotmail.com

That is normal, but some things that can help is as soon as you get up to hop in the shower and get dressed. Even if you stay at home getting dressed can help wake you up a bit. Let some sunlight in and exercise can help as well. Oh and by the way after the baby is born you'll still be tired all the time. So if you ever come across any magic energy pill let me know I have three kids and just can't keep up with them anymore. Good luck with the new addition.

I just Just went through this, plus I got on full time at work, so it got worse before it got any better. All I can tell you, is if you are not a napper, you should start soon. Napping on the couch or in your room helps. I could only nap with the tv on. When I woke up for that nap weather it was 20 minutes or 2 hours, I felt so much better. It will pass Im in my 23rd week now and I feel great. So my advise is naps naps and more naps..... hope it helps.

Just sleep. Sleep and more sleep.

You'll get thru this phase and then you'll be a ball of energy. But get all the rest you can before the baby comes.

Talk to your doctor about your hemoglobin/iron levels. They may be low. Low iron levels can make you tired, weak, and sometimes more pale than usual. Your OB doctor can tell you if that may be a problem, then they will suggest an additional supplement, if thats the case.
If not, its natural to be tired during pregnancy anyways. Good Luck :<)

Eat right, lots of fresh fruits and veggies and drink tons of water. Poor hydration can cause fatigue.

If you're tired, rest! It's hot all over, developing life can take some energy. Take the best possible care of yourself and listen to your body!

It gets better during the 2nd trimester, then comes back in the 3rd. My best advice is to rest as much as possible. I went through the same thing with my pregnancy. Good luck! It's all worth it when you see that beautiful baby!

This is normal. I thought I'd never get over being as tired as I was. Just try to get as much rest as you can. Take it easy. Once the baby comes, you'll be more tired than you ever thought possible.

get lots of sleep while you can! once that baby arrives - then you'll be exhausted. more than 8 hours a night at this point is a good idea.
