Absolutely. His death means there is no further obligation. When someone loses a spouse to death some remarry. the concept is all the same whether you were separated at the end or not. That makes no difference. Yes, with your former spouse passed on you are free to do what ever you like. The laws regarding marriage do not apply to a situation where one spouse is passed on from the world of the living. If you wanna get remarried, do it. No reason you can not, legal or otherwise now.

Yes, his death makes you a widow, you may have to have a copy of death certificate, but other than that you shouldn't need anything else.
I hope you didn't stop living your life just because at the time you weren't divorced, and hopefully this new man will be all that you wanted out of the first.
I don't know how terms were with your belated husband, so I just wanted to say sorry for your loss and congratulations on moving forward with a new love. Good Luck

Yes, you are a widow now and entitled to your husband's estate unless his will says otherwise. You can remarry anytime you want but you will always be considered his wife even after such a long separation. I never would have done that and I strongly suggest you do not do it again since you are responsible for his problems until a divorce is final. Good luck!!!

If you were never seperated from him and he died could you remarry?

Check out the following website. It can answer your questions much better than I can. It will also give you a "bird's eye" view of a guy's psyche.

Yes you can remarry without a problem, BUT the really BIG is what was his estate like? As his wife you inherit whatever he left behind. Could be a really nice wedding present. Oh my condolences.

Do you want to remarry? If so ... go for it. If you've found someone that makes you happy and cares for you - have at it. Once your spouse dies that pretty much leaves you open. Best of luck in whatever you do.

Yes! As long as you still show respect for your late husband, you can do anything you want! Don't let the past hold you down or control you! If there is someone special man in your life who is worth marrying, GO FOR IT! :) Have fun and move on from your tradgeties! God Bless!
