It's fine, but we always go for the Airport Meridien, which is much better than the books tell you. Great rooms, fabulous pool and friendly people who will arrange your transport to places of interest and make sure you are not ripped off. The prices are reasonable by Dubai standards and include as-much-as-you-can-eat cooked breakfasts. Other food is expensive but there is a fabulous Indian restaurant across the road which is not in the guide books. We paid £5 for a terrific all-we-could-eat spread for 2. Have fun!

Quite old, and secluded but if you want a relaxing break, it's a good place. It's fairly big (with peacocks wandering around the entrance!) and has a nice beach.
