Not in the regular Sims--in Sims 2 you can have kids. In the regular Sims, you might get a phone call asking if you want to adopt. :)

No because in the sims you have to be married before you can have kids and the game won't let you marry someone of the same sex.....unless there's an expansion pack I haven't heard of yet?
