It would be really intelligent on your part if you would separate that which a person IS from that which a person DOES. We ARE not our acts and we DO not our Beings. I all ways tell my son that there are no dumb people only people doing dumb things. We should correct the mistake and save the one who is mistaken. You do that by distinguishing between his act and his Being. We hardly know the being of another person. We only know his acts as they appear to us. We hardly know our own Being and often think we are what we have done. If I make a mistake I may mistakenly assume that I am dumb. Ever have it slip your tongue. Oh I´m so dumb! Well that is just not so. What one IS is a whole different category; IT takes a lifetime to discover and is not at all answered by what one does. Being is eternal and unchanging, acts can be changed.

I feel bad for them. They don't seem to have the brain power to get some help, or to educate themselves. They must be truly miserable in their lives. I know someone's going to say they are too dumb to be miserable, but I just don't believe this. There are so many ways we can educate ourselves, even on television, just by watching good shows. You don't have to be able to read or write to watch television.
Of course it's a cruel world that we live in and some of the previous answers prove the cruel nature of folks. Let's try to be more kind to each other. In the end you will feel better about yourself.

No, I feel irritated!! Not only are they dumb, but they are breeding and spreading that dumbness further along. That is why we have so many more than we did 20 years ago-the stupid people are breeding huge numbers and overtaking the smart ones. Scary but true!! Can you tell I have a zero tolerance for stupid/dumb people??? Good question!!!

I feel bad for the ignorant. People who are dumb (they are unable to speak) have a physiologic problem. Those who are ignorant and ask ambiguous and poorly thought out questions are ignorant by choice.

I don't believe there are any dumb people. I believe there are special people and I do feel bad for them, but I also think they are blessed in a special way. I believe God has a special place prepared for them in heaven. God Bless You!!
