Yes I believe in positive thinking. It is Very, very powerful! I should have died over 20 years ago. I've been sickly my whole life, but I'm a very positive person. I try to concentrate on the good things in my life, like a nice home, food on my table, a loving husband, wonderful children, good siblings, good doctors, and a strong belief in my Roman Catholic faith. Even the little things in life, like being able to go to the store without having a roadside bomb blow me up. Okay, that's not little, but you know what I mean. "Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative..." that's an old song with a powerful statement. If you don't believe it, just sit down, take a few minutes, write out the pros and cons in your life. Hopefully the pros list will be verrrry long. If not, concentrate on everything positive you can think of.
Hope this helps!

I think realistic thinking is much more powerful than positive thinking. For instance; the realistic thinker when confronted with a situation where there is no chance, takes a chance. On the other hand the positive thinker believes there is always a way, so he may blithely go forward, expecting the best outcome and not take the highest, no chance risk.

I absolutely believe in positive thinking, and believe it can be extremely powerful.
Certain ailments have disappeared or lessened, just by my focusing on them and imagining them easing away.
Another example is when people pray/meditate before seeing a sick friend in the hospital. They have a positive outlook during their visit, which passes on to the patient. There have been many cases of prayer/meditation/positive outlook helping to speed up the healing process.

I believe positive thinking is very powerful. It absolutely sets you up for success because you're already in a good mindset. You are much more open to the good possiblilities of any situation. As they say, "Thoughts become things....Choose the good ones."

hanntastic is right! I'm a cancer survivor and I believe my positive attitude has a lot to do with it. I was always cracking jokes and entertaining the nurses. If I heard it once I heard it a hundred times "Keep it up. Attitude is half the battle."

How you think determines how you act. Positive thinking creates constructive motivation and is a great defense against depression. How much more powerful can you get than that?

Pretty powerful. Example of something simple such as walking along with a smile on your face, chances are, someone will smile back. But if you have a gloomy or serious face, most people tend to avoid you.

Its probably the most powerful tool humans have. Read any book written by multimillionaires and they all say that positive thinking is the number one requirement.
