There must be twenty questions about the Yates' verdict and most seem to be calling for her to be burned only after being dissected alive. Her mental illness was long-documented and finally mistreated as she was under-medicated and sent home to "save" her children from some gawd-awful fate.

What in the world do people propose as appropriated treatment for schizophrenia, dementia, and autism? What do they think Justice means?

If ever there was a case of insanity, this was it. My guess is most people cannot relate to a mental problem. Her illness was well documented and the first verdict was the wrong one. Nice to see the Justice system finally do the right thing and it will be a long , long time before she is released. Hinckley is only getting short releases. I feel for the children but this second trial was the right one .

She killed her 5 children. That upsets people. And with this verdict, it means that someday she could be free again, where if she stayed in jail she would never be free again.
I haven't followed the case closely lately but it is horrifying. People who don't have experience with the mentally ill don't understand that they aren't in control of themselves all the time.
Should she ever be free? I don't know. I think someone would kill her if she was. I also don't think being in a mental institution is some kind of cushy retirement. It might be slightly nicer than jail, but she needs care she can't get in jail.
I am becoming more sensitive to this kind of thing because my dad has Alzheimer's and there's a lot of prejudice against the disease--any disease of the brain.

I don't give a crap whether she's insane or not. She's evil. I've had family members with mental disorders, including being extremely depressed and they might have wanted to commit suicide, but in no case to kill a child, let alone 5.
This just shows how ungodly this country is and how people can get away with anything.
She should have been drowned slowly in very cold water.... with pig manure in it.

The horror of what she did is beyond "treatment".

She drowned child after child. The last one actually got away and she dragged him back into that tub. A tub filled with bile/vomit, blood from the previous children.

She didn't start "ranting" about Satan until a day or so after she'd been arrested.

i think all the outrage is about is, she drowned her five of her kids to death. If you are a real true parent, you wouldn't hate your kids that much. She didn't have to lie when she testified, saying that she was going through insanity, and it caused her to kill her kids. i think all murderers say that so the judge doesn't press charges. If she hated her kids so bad, why didn't she just given them up for adoption, instead drowning them to death.

I'm sorry but I believe that is a cop-out, She killed her children in cold blood. I may not know her personally but I have watched her and her mannerisms and that is one cold-blooded woman. She knew what she was doing.

Sometime the comic strip character Pogo was right. There is no justice. Just us.

Sick or not, doesn't change the fact that she drowned her own children...5 of them no less. I think she needs to be drowned as well

BULLSHIT! She committed murder. Schzophrenia does not necesairily deprive a person of moral conviction. This is an irrefutable fact. She is guilty.

you know i think her being innocent because if insanity is b.s because the first thing they do when someone is convicted for murder thery go to that doctor that says if you were insane or not and seems like it was fixed so that she would be proven insane.
