Males and females are wired differently neurologically, causing some behaviors to arise more frequently in each gender, but it's probably just a matter of physical violence being less socially acceptable for females than males. So, females find different methods of releasing anger that happen to have longer lasting effects than a bruise or a bloody nose.

Hmm...good question. Let me clarify something first. Do you mean honor as in trustworthiness or as in ritual Chinese harry-carry honor? I'm going to assume you mean the second.
I know alot of very intimidating women. I know this one Swedish girl and she is pretty large (ALL muscle). I don't think she would try and set me up to get arrested if I insulted her. I think she would put me throw a couple walls. If that kind of direct physical pain is more honorable that an underhanded setup, then yes I think women are just as honorable as men.
However, I rarely ever see a small "honorable" woman. If I were to insult or hit some of the smaller women I know, they would just call the cops on me or something. But they would be justified in doing that, which would make them "honorable".
I guess, honorable means using whatever means you have to defend yourself if threatened regardless of physical or emotional vengeful means.

This is one of the most ridiculous and leading questions I've ever read. Women vary in their principles and honor from woman to woman just as men do. You can't apply one hard and fast rule to every woman. Not all women are vindictive and mean. Not all men will punch you when you insult him. If you think some men are not capable of doing underhanded and devious things just as some women do, you're way off base.

I have been a man and have observed men for most of my life, and have yet to see this "internal code of honor." Men are decietful , sly and very cruel. Same as women.
This so called psychologist is not much of a scientist if he is able to make a statement as you described. Of course, I expect that this psychologist was a male. So, therfore, he may have lied.
