Your pc would not see your sound card. this may be brought about by using numerous issues. the first might want to be that your sound card has failed. If it truly is really the case, it is mandatory to purchase yet another to modify it. do not difficulty - you may spend $20 on $2 hundred on a sound card, yet even a cheap one is more effective than no longer some thing, actual? The more effective possibly reason is that your drivers are transforming into tousled for the sound card. seeing that i don't have the kind form of the computer (assuming its pre-outfitted), nor the sound card sort huge variety, i won't be able to element you in route of the drivers.

I assume that your sound card supports some form of surround. Open the control program that came with the card and try the different settings for speaker configurations.

if you are using creative card, load the surround mixer and run the speaker test. also check that you have selected the correct speaker settings. check the volume is turned on and the bass on the sub woofer is to the middle. also check the power to the sub woofer is proper.

I don't know, but I would suggest to check your connections again some where, cables could be mixed up.
