Maybe. I believe that it's more likely we'll develop a method to project the experience into our nervous system.

The "close to the wall paradox" would be realllly difficult to overcome without it being noticeable (although they justified it theoretically by noting that the transporters could be used to move the experiencer to another holo-deck or another place in the same deck).

I should also note that we've developed a natural eye 3d technology in printing that allows us to create truly 3d publications that don't require glasses (due to expense, it's in limited use in product packaging). If we can do it on a flat surface, we'll probably figure out how to do it in 3d, but I wouldn't hold my breath for the hologram to feel solid.

yeah or star trek, i think there would be something like a holodeck but with be via a headset and not something u can touch feel etc..
