Those who even after being drenched in rains from head to foot still remain dry are indeed unfortunate.(Cloudbursts apart) In our parts when the first rains come around the first week of June we go out and welcome the first showers. These showers that cool the earth being out the body odour of the earth which is so distinctive that with all efforts the essence manufacturers have not been able to duplicate. They say that rain is the promise that god has not given up the earth for lost as yet.It is not for nothing that rainfall is associated with god's bounty in almost all the religions.I like rains in all their manifestations a drizzle, a downpour or even a cloudburst. Wather is consider as one of the five big ghosts (Panch Mahaboot)that sustain the earth.Even if it holds back his blessing hands slightly the mouths of people go dry.Rain is our life. Another name of water is life(Jeevan) and the rain that brings it the life giver.

Yes. This is due to the rain causing negetive ions in the area, which produce a calm, happy feeling in most people. This is why negetive ion generators are so popular, because of the feelings of well being they produce. But, beware, as most generators, including the Ionic Breeze from Sharper Image, also produce ozone, a dangerous substance which can be damaging to the human body, and may cause certain types of cancers. I hope this helps.

It is referred to as an enlightened state of mind, or practicing indifference when one has the ability to control their emotions to the point that they have the same feeling when it rains, as to when the sun is shining.

The same feeling when it is hot, as to when it is cold.

The same feeling to happiness as to sorrow.

The bottom line is to avoid allowing outside influences seriously effect and sway your feeling or emotions one way or the other.
If not checked, these mood swingers can and will bring about auto conditioned responses which lead to phobias and just plain lunacy.

Not having the ability to control these is what breeds and manifests such conditions as Paranoid Schizophrenia, Manic Depression, or just plain psychotic behavior, which there seems to be way too much of in today's world.

I saw an example when I was having my Dish Network installed. The installer, while using a hammer to drive the pole into the ground, hit his thumb. His conditioned response was to immediately start throwing up and being nauseated.
Go figure.

yes because then there will be a rainbow sometimes-- and all the crops/gardens/all that get watered and it's cool. and like then you here the rain on your window and it's soothing--and then you can go outside and yeah i am happy when it rains :) lol

and to that one guy who said he hates the sun and loves the rain-- rain wouldn't happen if the sun wasn't here.

"I only smile in the dark.
My only comfort is the night gone black."

Seriously though, it depends on my mood. That question is too general. Sometimes I like the rain, sometimes I don't. I like the cold rain hitting my skin. I like the way rain clings to me in ways that ground water doesn't. I like thunder and lightning. Plus, I love the sound of rain hitting the rooftops.
