It is legal for a male to drive in Saudi Arabia. I have driven most of the country. However religious customs do not allow women to drive at all. If you are female don't drive, bike, or segway. Do not walk unescorted. Its not dangerous, it's just that you will get picked up by the Religious Police and harassed and possibly jailed or fined.
When in Rome do as Romans do. In Saudi Arabia abide by their rules.

For a women ? yes it is illegal to drive in Saudi Arabia .
Any one else though can ride a bike or any thing else .

its only illegal for women to drive yet .. the saudi family has to hav a driver in place for the women so its not a problim atall.. and saudi is also kno to be the cheapst place to drive.. as petrol prices are very cheap.. am a saudi livin in the uk.. and the uk is 9 times more expensive if not more.. and the cars are cheap in saudi with because ov tax.. so saudi people tend to get better cars.. and also u can drive a bike or a segway

I don't know if it is illegal but I did meet a bunch of Iraqi men in their mid 20's and none of them knew how to drive when they came to the US

Women are not permitted to drive. They are positively ridiculous in their treatment of women.
