Do not go to have waxing done when you are ovulating or on your period; you are going to be much more sensitive. You can take Advil or Motrin supposedly; don't know how much good that does, but it is supposed to dull the pain a bit. Also, if you get your lip waxed, sit up don't lie down. If you lie down, I have found out that all the blood rushes to the back of my head, and that concentration makes it all that much more painful. Try to think of other things; I know its hard!!! I talk to my stylist; we almost try to make a joke of the whole experience, so it goes a little bit faster!!! After the waxing, make sure if you aren't allergic to the specific product they use, have them put a little coolant on you, such a Tend Skin, or something, to calm the sensitive areas down!!!

Well I've heard that if you take an aspirin an hour beforehand, it helps quite a bit. They also sell numbing oils as well that make it a little less painful.
