in my culture, we dont see a need to shave our legs [the women], because itll just grow back darker butm here in america its a must and of course i dont wanna be known as the girl who doesnt shanve her legs. my mom didnt let me , she still doesnt, but i do it any way but keep it from her. lately im tired of hiding it. how do i explain to her that i need to. She doesnt shave [ she doesnt rele need to cuz she is so white and u dont evn see the hairs].she is stuborn so i need to tell her in a way she will understand and wont yell at me.

If you are old enough, do not explain to your mom.
Mom is right about thicker growth if you shave. you must not shave, you must remove the hair using different method.
In your case. You should remove the hair by using chemicals.
Chemical removal will reduce the growth and new growth, in most cases, is finer. After few times of removal, growth will be so small that you will need doing the removal every now and then.
You can find these chemicals at a Pharmacy. Do not try to wax it, it will be more painful in your case(I am presuming that you have lots of hair and they are thick, large diameter and long).
Try it, you can always go back to shaving or try waxing, if above does not apply or work for you.

PS:
There is yet another instrument, it is Lady Ape(not sure of spelling). It is a rotating spring you plug it in like an electric shave, it pull out the hair gently but takes practise and patience.

You can't change people, just keep shaving and don't say anything. She has her values and you have yours. You can't change her beliefs any more than she can change yours. Good luck though! It's hard being stuck between two opposing cultures!

listen you if ya momz dont like so what, its gone. my mom was the same but they cant beat us because we dont have hairly legs. my mom was mad cuz i was 10 when i did it but she got over it. so just tell her yourself and dont wait until she finds out herself, the sooner ou do it the sooner you can where short shorts in public

buy them your self the razors and the blades and the shaving cream leave them for her to see and if she asks then tell her why
