Spray the affected area with hairspray, then wipe it off with a clean cloth.

Some hairsprays get ink out of cloth, but I don't know about leather
You could try saddle soap. I used it on shoes, so it might work on a couch. (I would test it on a back section first.)

Use Battery Acid and then tell your Insurance Company that you used the wrong bottle - take care though, they might not believe you could be so stupid - then play your trump card and assure them that you really are a loon.

i worked at a furnature store... we had new and used, and we always used hairspray on the leather... just regular old rave or aquanet, doesn't have to be expensive stuff.

If hair spray has not worked try rubbing alcohol or acetone.
Usually acetone works at one go.
