Do not pay with Paypal. Someone hacked into our ebay account and racked up almost 10,000 dollars worth of stuff on our paypal. We didnt have 10,000 in our account so the banks charged us hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees. Then we had to fight with the bank and paypal to get the charges reversed and the overdraft fees waived. It happened may 22nd and we are still dealing with it today, july 26th.

Ebay is actually a really great place as long as you're careful. Make sure to read the auction listing in its entirety and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the seller. Another good thing to do is check the seller's feedback ratings. If they have many positives, they're usually exceptionally trustworthy. I've been buying on ebay for years and have never had a major problem.
Hope this helped. =)

eBay is a time tested market with tons of benifits to the wise user. I will not pretend that there is no danger in it - theres danger in any online money transaction, but with eBay's strict policies on things and the fact that most users value their ranking and customer feedback, it is your safest place to buy and trade online.
There are several guides that can help you enter the world of eBay as a first time buyer, but what I suggest is finding someone locally who has done it before to help you.

Double check the seller's feedback to see what other buyers are saying about their experiences/items received. There are people out there that insist on using eBay to fence stolen items and to sell pirated materials.

Good luck and happy shopping!

I really dont like Ebay, because most of the stuff you buy has a higher shipping and handling fee than the price you get it for.

Its stupid

It is safe, just look for the sellers with higher ratings, and pay only with PayPal which is 100 percent secure, and gurantees your transaction.
