It will be a big accomplishment if they even make the playoffs...Thier are too many contending teams next year....Just in the west u got a more motivated spurs....a more motivated dallas dat will make improvements....the phoenix suns with amare back are gonna be almost unstoppable....the clippers are on thier way up and could become seriouse contendors with elton brand puttin up legendary numbers and them keeping the same squad....the lakers will probably win a series in the playoffs and denver will probablly come back stronger....then u got the east to contend with IF they make it trhough da spurs dallas or phoenix...and datz just another animal to battle with d wade and lebron...and with a new strong chicago team. So if they even make the playoffs dat will be a good goal to achive....but i see them being atleast 3-5 years from being seriouse contendors.

The warriors have no chance for several reasons. One, they don't have a good center. Adonal Foyle is not very good and overweight. Troy Murphy is a good power forward, but no center material. Their two draft picks are going to take some time to develop, so in about three years Patrick O'Bryant might be a good center. The team has two veterans (players that have been in the league for over five years) One is a good leader, and the other is not good at all. They have good perimeter shooting, but not good inside shooting or aggressiveness, which is needed to take on Shaq, Yao or Diop(Yes, I meant to say Diop. I'm from Dallas). That's the other thing, This team will have to face teams with complete players such as the very pissed off Dallas Mavericks, The Los Angeles (pick one) and the Denver Nuggets so they have no chance if they get into the playoffs of even making it to the Western Conference Finals.

Is this question for real? Come on besides Baron Davis spurring them on good winning streak the other year nothing else has gelled. I think maybe they just got a little hyped after Davis got there. No slight against Davis but he's always been injury prone. I just don't know if the Warriors 1-2 punch of Davis and Richardson is really a reliable enough cornerstone to build a championship contending team. The Warriors haven't shown me that they have enough toughness to deserve being in the playoffs ater last seasons meltdown.

On paper this team seems like a playoff contender... but they have vastly underachieved. Maybe this year they can break out. At point Baron Davis is a capable leader of this team. Jason Richardson is the West Coast's version of Vince Carter like Carter, maybe he will play better this year. Mike Dunleavy was the third pick in the draft and has underachieved but is still a valuable asset because of his great versitility. The front court has one steady, solid player in Troy Murphy, who maybe one of the most underrated players in the NBA, however Diogu and O'Bryant are far from helping this year. If the Warriors develop better chemistry next year they could go to the playoffs.

No. Its as simple as that. With a packed western conference no way they will win the nba title. Im not saying they arent gonna make the playoffs. But they WILL NOT, and you can quote me on this, WILL NOT win an NBA Championship in the 2006/2007 NBA season.

Judging from your profile, you must be from California. Unfortunately, warriors fan, I don't think they're going to win it next year. Find another team to cheer for. If I were you, I would go with Phoenix, they're close enough to California, and they have a very good shot at winning it next year.

I say they will. Two years ago, when they first acquired Baron Davis, they went on a winning streak. Then, for some reason last year, their team chemistry went way down and they fell into a slump. This year they will fall out of this slump and win it all.
