Drink more water. Take a tablespoon of Flax oil daily or two tablespoons or ground flaxseed(great for developing fetal brain too). Go for a long walk daily (helps get things moving). Stay away from dairy for awhile (can be binding). Good luck.

More than likely your problem is due to the Iron that is either in your pre-natal vitamins or you take directly. Tell your doctor about this, but in the meantime buy only bread with at least 4 grams of fiber per serving. Eat this several times a day along with oatmeal and other whole grain foods. The bread with the high fiber is the best answer I have. One other thing is that almost all cheese is very binding.

You have a problem is you have not had a bowel movement in a week! Consult your doctor. You also need to eat more fruits and begetables, drink more water, and probably take something like a fiber natural laxative. CALL YOUR DOCTOR WITHOUT DELAY!

The best and most natural method is to core an apple and sprinkle some cinnamon on it and microwave it for 4 or 5 minutes. Eat it and it seriously works.

There is some sort of chemical reaction between the heat, the apple and the cinnamon that really really works.

My wife says that is not uncommon, and recommends that you try to get up and move around as much as possible, in order to get your bowels to loosen. If you happen to be on bed rest, then the only thing I would suggest is a good enema.

But, in your case of not having gone in a week, you need to talk to your gynecologist ASAP

Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting". It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

Take only what the Doctor recommends! Never Castor Oil! Will cause you to go into labor. Many woman take this to make them go into labor if they are over due.

You must only take what the Doctor suggests for your baby's sake. Do not take Pepto Bismol either as it has asprin in it! Be careful taking advice on boards as many who answer have no idea what they are talking about.

Plenty of fluids will keep your stools loose and fruit and fibre help too, plus relaxation, if you worry about it it will only make it worse. Saying that, it has been a while since you last went to the loo, I'd see the doctor if nothing happens soon

Hey girl, i would suggest prune juice. It may not taste the best, but it will work. Take a few ounces at a time every couple of hours!! Your body needs to regulate to all the horomone changes, it is hard to adjust, but you will be ok!!
