Do you get blisters on the soles of your feet when walking barefoot on hot asphalt?

I say NO.
Barefooters almost NEVER experience blisters of any kind. Blisters are for fools who wear shoes!!!

But, it might depend on the condition of your feet before you start. And it might depend on the temperature. And, of course, the distance walked is also a major factor.

So, if you are a person who always wears shoes and the bottoms of your feet are only accustomed to being inside sweaty shoes and are soft and tender, then perhaps a blister is possble. Blisters typically occur when there is moisure/sweaty feet inside poorly-fitted shoes, not from being barefoot.

More likely is skin that feels quite BURNED. Again, it depends on the temperature and distance walked and the condition of your feet. But all barefooters experience some burning sensation on hot pavement. It is best to know your limits regarding hot pavement -- seek shady spots to walk in, etc.

Yes, I get blisters a few times when the asphalt temperature is consistently around 133 degrees F or higher, but my soles are much more heat tolerant after that to the point where at some point the burning soles actually start to cool down the hot asphalt after the prickly tingling equalizes.

So blisters can occur when there is too much heat on the soles too long. This can be too long of a walk on more abrasive surfaces causing heat from friction, or standing and walking too long on hotter surfaces causing prolonged intense burning. However it is not like a barefooter's soles blister every day, only when they deliberately walk on rougher or hotter surfaces to get blisters as part of overcoming a heat limit. Blisters that heal and peel away leave a smaller indentation that lasts for a while and that skin is still more heat tolerant, while blisters that heal and reattach leave a great looking tough sole white callus spot that is much more heat resistant than before.
