Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat most acne at home. Try each method (unless you’re allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck =) BTW, I know some of these may sound bizarre but try them…what have you got to lose other than the acne!!
1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.
2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It’s supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.
3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.
4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.
5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.
6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

If you've tried everything, might as well RUN to your nearest skin care specialist or dermatologist! Sometimes, bad skin can happen even to the cleanest and neatest people. I suggest not scrubbing it with sponge or any exfoliating product, because it will only make your skin more vulnerable to breakouts and also the acne breakouts will become even worse. My brother tried this and it worked for him, he spread an anti-dundruff shampoo on hs back and chest (selsun blue brand) and he let it dry for a while, then washed it off under warm shower.

Sometimes the reason is as simple as hormones which you can't do a whole lot to prevent and is just a phase of puberty. But, assuming it isn't it is likely due to your diet. All that sugar you eat and drink has an effect. I got it on my back for years and never thought of myself as a person with a sweet tooth. I simply didn't count the sugar in Coca-Cola that I drank virtually all the time. Once I stopped, so did the acne. Fried food can sometimes have a similar effect (this includes potato chips).

Try Pro Active and lay out in the sun. My acne is better in the summer when i get outside more. Don't use lotion on your chest and if you are a guy don't shave your chest. Guys don't shave your chest even if you don't have acne. Hairy chest = sexy! Good Luck!

try neutrogena body clear body wash and use it in the shower...
like your face, don't wash too much cause washing too much can make your skin believe it's dry and it will then produce MORE oil.
then at night before you go to sleep...maybe put some salsylic acid solution on your skin...the same as you would use on your face (do that every other day though, once again too much will produce more oil)
and maybe put some baby powder on your skin before you go out during the day or work out and always shower after anytime you sweat or work out so your pores don't clog.
and if you use body lotion at all...make sure it's "non-comodogenic" so it won't clog your pores.

You are probably making it worse by using too much product.
Wash with an antibacterial soap, dry, then apply a toner afterwords.
Then leave it alone, you will notice it start clearing up in a few days.
