I did that for a year and a half as a LSA but left because it was too stressful. It was a school in a poor area but say no more. Had to deal with children whose homelives weren't great and it reflected their behaviour in the school. Anyway enough about my bad experience, I found it in a local paper but I also saw vacancies looking on the my local council's website and they had a few on there so have a look yourself. You could also try your local Jobcentre. These jobs are also quite hard to come by because of the holidays etc and a lot of mums apply but good luck and hope you are successful!

Keep looking on the Employment pages of the Council Website for your area. Also look in the local newpaper, as sometimes the schools by-pass the Education Personnel Office and advertise themselves.

Classroom Assistant is a recognised qualification, go to your local colleges and see if there are any courses available.
If you're a lone parent, you need work all year round or you'll have trouble with the tax credits system.

you could look in the local newspaper or on your local council website and see if there are any vacancies for teaching assistants. Also further education colleges do courses for Teaching Assistants, probably the best place to go for this information is your local library.

Go ahead and go to the personnel office of the school district and put in an application . That way when any jobs do become available you'll be ready to go if they call you for an interview.

It'll probably be difficult at the moment because schools are on holiday, so there probably won't be any. Keep checking your local council's job section on their website. Vacancies are generally posted there.
