Not sure what you are fishing for, but, I am so glad that I decided to file for my divorce when I did. The legal system and process was nothing compared to what I endured. Without going into the specifics, let me just say, no one should be unhappy in their own home. I have a hard time believing that God, Allah, Krishnan, the Pope, Buddha, Mother Superior, any loving parents, true friends, or even ones' children would want to see you unhappy. I waited about 3.5 yrs before saying that enough was enough. I called a lawyer friend, filed the divorce, went to court, got custody of my son, and, now 5 years have gone by and my son and I are happy to welcome his new stepmom, and, my new wife into our family. Sometimes you have to weigh things and figure out whats most important to you. Marriage isn't some day to day b.s., like high school, or, college dating. Everything is 50/50, and, you have to be willing to consider your "better half", as well as, the rest of your family, ie, kids. Bottom line is don't get married because someone thinks that you should, You have to be ready...By the same token, don't stay in any relationship just because someone suggests that you should remain in it regardless of how unhealthy it may be.

I would not have married him if I knew then what I know now. It was a very quickie marriage (only lasted 6 months) even though we were together for 2 years before that. We didn't have any kids (or even pets) together so my life wouldn't be so drastically different if we hadn't married. Now, if we had kids, then I'd probably do it all over again just to have the kids. But THANKFULLY, we never procreated!
And now we never have to see eachother AGAIN, EVER.
Now I'm remarried, and have a beautiful baby. I just call my first marriage, my "Starter Marriage".

I still have married him, but I might not have stayed in the marriage as long as I did. The relationship gave me a lot of the things/experiences that make me who I am today, and I genuinely like me the way I am. I also was blessed with two incredibly wonderful children. So, yes, knowing what I now know, I'd still say "I do" when I said I did.

Done what, the divorce? Sure I'd get divorced again in a heartbeat. No sense staying in a broken relationship.
