It was the fifth season, which was cut short to eight episodes as a result. To camouflage her pregnancy, the character was shot from angles or closeup views whenever possible. Plus, if you look at the clothing that she wears that season, they're high waisted or more flowing in style (although still over the top glamourous!)
In fact, Sarah Jessica Parker first discovered that she was pregnant while filming the very first episode of season 5--Anchors Away, which is why she seems extra giddy and happy than usual.
