Currently in production, that would probably be Bugatti Veyron (starts at $1.6 million, if I remember correctly). Among the collectibles, 1931 Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe still holds the laurels; one sold at a Sotheby's auction for $8.7 million in 1987.

The phantom convertible... thats not cheap, around $600,000. But its worth it, the floor mats are plush like fur, and you push a button to open your door, and the sound system is the best. I was able to spend 3 days in a phantom (not the convertible though), very nice car. but, if I had the money, I'd get the bentley... more stylish! I dont know what is THE most expensive... couldn't afford it anyway...lol
