All wars are base on lies. If we went to war for the reasons give to the public we would not be in the position we are in to day as fare as being the most powerful nation in the world. War is always started by a few men that gather support from the public by making up reasons to gain support. Classic example 9/11. Nothing to do with Iraq but there we are and everyone feed into. You ever notice that the only time the public is mad at another leaders is when the government tells us that they are a evil person or "Evil Doer" as GWB likes to put it. I will never be fooled again when our government says that this country or this person is Evil. All you need to do to start a war is have support from you country. Look at Israel, do you really think that one solider is the cause for all this destruction over there. They saw an opening where they could get support from the masses and the ran with it. This is how all wars are started. Since I choose to believe this and it is my reality I think that war should never be supported unless people come into this country and try to invade. Any other reason for fighting people in their land is the same reason we would not put up with it here. By the way I was a Marine for 8 years so don't think I'm one of these bleeding heart liberals. I know that what is going on in today's world is wrong and you can not have peace by waging war.

I believe that war is a natural part of life. It is inevitable and useful. Look at the American Revolution. It helped gave freedom. Also, the final outcome will usually be, technological advance, new political views, and of course peace. And that is way peace can be maintained. If you allow a nation to threaten you for many years without getting involved, they will eventually attack with a greater force than if you just attack them while they were still threatening you.
If you think peace can be achieved without any violence, you're wrong. There will always be people wanting to kill you. And as long as those people exist, there will always be war going on or coming.

War will always be necessary to eliminate the roaches.
It happened in world war one--two and now wolrd war three.
Dont think for one second that we can all get along.Ninety nine
percent of the population can, But it's that one percent. If we can just wipe them out then maybe we will get along.

I will forever hope that peace prevails, but feel that war in defense of liberty and freedom is many times justified. To say that war is productive is misleading and deceptive, but war can save lives- as asinine as that sounds. War is hell, but when justly utilized can bring peace. There is no place in this world for people or groups who seek to destroy the peace and freedoms of others. Sadly there are many among us that must be confronted. Lastly, no one is going to come over here and tell my children how to live, I'll be dead before that happens. -so long as they respect the rights of others.

War is inevitable given that various factions will always find a way to disagree about something or a given resource that's needed will be on someone elses turf (OIL). PEACE!

It's ugly, useles, sets humanity back, and like someone said is a waste of human life.
Unfortnately, until we learn to look at eachother as equal human beings instead of seeing people for their race/religion/sex/natonality/ect there will always be unnecessary violence.
