Ok, I have 2 dance in this big thing tonight( I am a dancer duh) and I am on the second day of my period and I feel like crap. Bloated, cramps, the whole deal. I don't have an understudy and I really do wanna dance. Its @ 6 tonight. What works 4 ya'll in getting rid of these problems? Any meds that work betta 4 ya?

Midol or Pamprin work well. Also, you can soak in a hot tub to relieve some of the cramping. I have also found that the more you move around, the quicker the cramps and bloating go away but if you lay in bed, it can take longer.

Make sure you don't eat anything heavy or fatty and take deep breathes to get as much oxygen into your system as possible.

Remember, if you are going to be a performer, that sometimes means performing even if you aren't feeling 100%. In high school, I had knee surgery on Friday and sang at a solo and ensemble contest the next day. I felt horrible and could hardle walk, but I showed up and did the best job I could. I gained a great deal of respect from my peers and the judges that day.

Take some Midol....i found that when you have cramps that you should rock back and forth at your waist...it helps

thermacare makes a descreet portable heating pad for cramps.
you can get them at any drugstore or pharmacy.
