I'm an American Republican and (of course) I don't think I'm evil. I believe that people should try and take care of themselves and if they can't then they can get some aid. There are too many people who sit back and let others pay for everything without even trying to lift a finger for themselves.
I believe that the government needs to assist us when needed and not support us for a lifetime. No one is autimatically entitled to anything, you've got to pull your boot straps up and work hard for what you get. Thats life.
I don't know about New Zeland, but here in America, the media (t.v., radio, newspapers, websites) are mostly Democratic and slant all the news in their favor. We have never heard of anything good that has happened in Iraq. They don't tell us about the schools that we have built or the people comming up and hugging our soldiers. They only tell us how many of our boys died today and that each death was the direct fault of our President.
Theres too much spinning on both sides. I listen to all the news with caution and make up my own mind.

They are not, it only seems that way to liberals. Republicans are as a whole God, family and country loving people.
