Ask why he/she disagrees, it may be that not all the facts are known by either side. When you provide an answer, make sure you have all your facts. Set aside a time for a meeting and discuss how you can provide help without seeming to step on anyone's toes. Never give up... answering with differenct ways of doing things, better ways, short cuts that don't hurt the end result shows your creativity.

It's time to move on. Unless you LOVE what you do and can tolerate his disrespect to you by not, at least, appreciating your input. And eventually the joy of work will wear off and one day you'll come in and say or do something that you'll regret. The boss is the boss but if he doesn't respect your input then he doesn't respect you.
You sound like a good worker and you don't deserve such negative behavior. And he may not know he doing this. Also your boss may be a perfectionist and obsessed with wanting things his way or he may have an issue with you (though you probably did nothing wrong). Until the time comes when he is told that he needs to change he will continue. However, that's not something you need to concern yourself with ... you need to look out for your best interest.
So again I suggest you consider moving on and when you find another position maybe send your boss a letter telling him why you left the company. The letter doesn't have to be acusitory (that seldom accomplishes anything) but just express your feelings regarding his unacceptable behavior to you (i.e., his disregard for your suggestions) that led to your decision to leave. Remember there is never any justification for a boss to be disrespectful to any employee.

First of all, has he asked you for your ideas? Secondly have you really thought about your ideas? Are they feasible?
If he has asked you for ideas, you give them to him if they make sense and if he doesn't agree with you, let it go, it's his business and he is the boss. If you can't accept that, then maybe you should look for another job or start your own business so that you can use your ideas.
I owned my own business and I welcomed ideas from my staff but some people will give suggestions without considering the feasibility of them, will they cost more than they will be worth, how will they affect customers etc.
If you like your job but you are just upset that the boss doesn't use your ideas, stop making suggestions and just do your job. If your ideas are good, then you will have to realize that some people just don't want to be told how to run their business. Sometimes, it is their loss but successfull business owners aren't successful for no reason, maybe he really knows what he's doing.

I would start looking for another job on the DL. That would raise a red flag for me and I would prepare to have another job to back me up if I get fired. Usually that kind of boss, is the "my way or the high way" kind. Thats the kind that don't care about you or anybody else have to say. If you feel it's a dead end job, why stay? If you're not progressing, why stay? Hes probably planning to fire you anytime soon from the sound of things. Doesn't sound like he needs you and don't even agree with you or even trying to consider your ideas. I would start to update my resume if I were you or just stick it out...do exactly what he says and don't suggest any ideas to him

Just do the job you are being paid for... he might be disagreeing with you & shooting down your ideas, because some of the ideas he's going to use... he just doesn't want to give credit where its due... besides that, know the employment laws & make sure you do your best at what you do & don't let anyone find fault in your job ethic... You'll be fine... but if the going gets tough & its nothing but misery... find another job... and soon!

Usually a manager knows and understand the goals of the company and has more experience than the people he hires.
Suggest a suggestion box. Think your ideas through and offer the benefits of your idea. This way you won't irritate him all of the time and maybe he'll like one of your ideas.

he could be a combative boss. try this test ... say the opposite of what you really want and see if he still disagrees then maybe a week or so later say the opposite and check his reaction....then I would start looking for another job that at least acknowledges your intelligence

The Best solution is to let him trip and fall if you like you said tride everything. An then when he is in shallow waters you should then step in with force with the famous line " I Told ya So! "
