I passed the first time (I'm from Hungary). (as with all driving tests)
To be more detailed, it was wintertime ;D

When that makes you feel better, driving on the left side would be a challenge for me too :D. I thinnk I wouldn't try it out without some preparation.
Ask yourself the following questions:
- what were the causes of failure? (according to the instructors)
- how did I the problem part and what should I have done instead?
- how can I adapt the difference between the 'faulty' and the suggested actions in the problem situations (you can ask another person to help you see it objective).
According to a survey, 9 of every 10 people think that they have their driving skills above average level. Another survey shows in contradiction, that much of the people who drive doesn't have any special skills to drive! (they are not improving their skills).

So simple: think over your skills as if you were analyzing another person. Keep your good driving habits and get rid of the bad ones.
Try to get new ones. Practice the most what you hate the most, and when you get on with it maybe you will no longer hate it.

Regards

I passed the first time but....I did alot of driving before the test and I love to drive....
I have 4 sons and my 2 oldst drive...
I told them first...do not be scared...go slow...and keep control at all times...go to places that are not crowded...like after hours at the mall...large places where you can drive and get the feel of the car...
The more you know your car...know the distance from front to end the more confident you will be... you will know if the car will fit...you will know how much space you take up on your lane...you will know all of these things because you learn't the feel of it....
your car will be an extention of your body....in a sense....
look at it that way...you know if you can fit through a tight squeeze and well...same as parking...will it fit??? the on coming truck...will it hit you??? you will know all of these things when you know your car...
learn how the tires feel this will help with speed...it is a new feeling....learn how your car sounds...that will help in the future if you hear a rapping sound...you will be in tune with that to....
the main thing is do not fear it....fear controls you...when you have mastered your fear you will master driving...you are the one in control...if you learn your car.... you will have the control...and you will be safe and sound and pass that test and the biggest thing...something that will carry long after the test...you will be a safe driver...and we all benifit from safe drivers...
have fun....and you are going to do just fine... ;)

Just keep om practising..... I've failed 5 times because I get ridiculously nervous, but I know that I can drive but I just can't handle the pressured situation.

Keep persevering whatever you do don't take a break from learning as this will do your confidence in once you start again (I know this from experience)

Also remember that all driving examiners are different and they all have different interpretations of various situations so don't get too downhearted and keep plugging away at it..... you'll pass soon :o)

I passed second time round in the car. The first time I failed on a major fault when I stopped to do a parallel park without looking in my rearview mirror - there was a load of cars behind me, oops! I passed first time on my bike. Good luck, you'll get there in the end. I think the key is finding the right instructor for you.

i passed on the second attempt, but the driving test is alot harder now than when i took it at 17, im 39 now, and the only reason i failed the first time was i got to a junction saw nothing was coming and just pulled out lol, the examiner went mad,but i thought sod it nothings coming out ill go lol.

just stick with it i wouldnt pass today with how har the test is what with the theory and then your driving test its enough to stress you out and make you panic, they make it so hard.

i wish you luck, but keep going and with determination and practice i swear your get there, if you do let me know, im rooting for yeah to pass ok.

best of luck and keep going.your conquer it

i passed first time honestly. personally the way i looked at it was that my instructer wouldn't have let me apply for a test date if he didn't think i was ready, so just relax! I know it's easier said than done, but thats really half the battle if you can stay calm. Good luck for the next attempt, lots of people have a few gos at it!

handed first time and instruction manual because of the fact doing the try in an computerized restricts you to using them basically interior the united kingdom. Been using 30 years..never did get around to doing the motorcycle try however.
