A girlfriend of mine once told me that if you can hold a pen under your boob, you should always wear a bra in public, but if they're smaller than that, it's ok to go braless from time to time. Is this true or just whack?

It's a decent 'rule of thumb'...generally if you can hold a pen under your breast, there is a bit of sag there...that doesn't mean ya can't go braless, but it's not going to look as appealing as if you had some support...
I see women with large breasts braless all the time...I don't know if they don't realize how unappealing that looks or if they just don't care...not to mention, the more you go without one (and have breasts of any size) the more you'll need one as they sag more and more from their own weight...

You should only go braless in public if your breasts won't sway with the wind.
Also, bras shape breasts...which is a good thing. Usually women wear bras so that their breasts look more like what they want them to look like. For example, my friend wears sport-bras because she wants smaller and less bouncy breasts while I wear push-up bras to make mine look fuller.
I think wearing a bra is the safest bet. If you don't know what to do: just wear a bra. With that in mind there will be less questioning and more activity.

It really depends on the girl, obviously if she is an A it doesnt matter but B and above have an option. I personally have dds and i occasionally go without a bra for formal occasons in which i have on a corset top dress or a halter top that hold them without the need of a bra. I also see no problem with going without a bra while changing in my fiance's car. He doesnt mind and mine are firm enough to not jiggle too much. IT all depends on the nature of the breasts

Most people look better with the help of a bra, but some shirts and tanks really make it unnecessary to wear one. I think it also depends on the size of the breast, larger chested women need the support!

You only wear a bra if you want to. If you want the natural look, go without, and you can always buy pasties that cover -things- whenever you wear anything see through. If you want to make them look bigger, wear a wonder bra

Okay. Yes you can. Sometimes wearing a bra can be uncomfortable. If you have small boobs you don't need to wear a bra okay? So do whatever you want.

Depends on size of your breast. If they are big, i advise to wear bra, coz of breat elasticity. Subjected under gravity, they streach abnomally. Small breast is okay without a bra. Use your consience to judge.

Everywoman should either wear a bra or pasties because nipples popping in church just isn't cute.

definately wear bras to work, functions, any gathering that's professional..
in short wear a bra when you're trying not to look like trash.
that's all.
if you want to show them puppies off make sure it's in the right places.. he he well there yes but i mean gathering places.
