He merely reflectes the current position of the national party. That's why the Republicans keep winning, ya know - the middle is afraid of turning power over to the likes of him. If the Democrats would replace him and not run socialist candidates, they could gain a lot of ground. However, when I see how they're treating Joe Lieberman these days, I don't see that happening in the near future.
Jim W: For the record, I'm 33 years old and hardly a typical conservative. If you clicked my name and looked at my answers and 360 page, you'd see plenty of information to support that. Of course, that would require you to do some research and be able to think for yourself, capabilities you have not demonstrated here. It's a lot easier to make it up as you go, huh?

I don't know that.I just know he had the best idea's in 2004 and lost cos the media blew a speech to his supporters out of proportion.
He had probably worked all day and felt he needed to cheer up the people who worked very hard for his campaign.I saw it and yes he was overenthusiastic but that's because he's only human.Everybody makes mistakes sometimes and this speech was maybe very good for the people there but should not have been broad casted on national TV.
Bush is recorded as saying that a reporter is a mayor league .... in a presidential campaign. For me they are both acceptable but if one is worst ,it's clear that Bush wins.
Why don't you realize that you let the only good man in the 2004 campaign go for nothing.Because you believed the spin that he must have been a nut job to act like that.We all do silly or stupid stuff sometimes because we are human and not perfect.
I still feel Dean should have been the Democratic candidate for 2004 and I think he would have won by bringing in new voters.
Howard Dean is an intelligent and progressive politician and that's why they gave him that post.

He got it because of his skill with internet fundraising. That is the way of the future. Also the left wing of the Democrat party is very strong and they like Howard Dean. If you remember, he was a top candidate for the presidential nomination early in the primary races. Primarily due to the fact that early primary/caucus states are more left-leaning that later Democrat states.

Now this is our occasion: we offered it, we very own it, and we will take it decrease back.”

Medical Doctors are idiots? I suppose that makes me one too?
And where have you received your twenty years of education to make such a claim? Howard Dean is hardly an idiot. The fact that one time at one political rally he became emotional only means that he is human.

I suppose Ken Mehlman, Republican Party chairman, who would sell his mother to a bunch of drunken sailors for twenty bucks, is somehow better.
