It would be nice to think that the reason to think of Thanksgiving in July is because we are thankful for all the good the world offers us every day. The truth is, though, the commercialism of our US holidays has becoming suffocating to us. The stores and merchants all want to be the first to get our attention and grab our holiday dollars. They use holidays as a theme for sales. (Thanksgiving furniture sales???? etc., etc.) The years don't go buy faster, we just get suckered into spending unnecessary time giving unnecessary attention in the wrong places. DON'T be controled by the media and advertising. Enjoy every day for what it actually is.

Oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, all that great food and some fantastic football. Bring it on. Messes go away, the warm feelings on Thanksgiving linger.

I love Thanksgiving but I don't want to rush it. It will be here in no time at all and gone. So I'm just enjoying today for now.

Ya know, when I was a kid, I asked a British lady if they celebrated the 4th of July in England. She said "Yes, but we call it Thanksgiving!"

Thanksgiving: Why can't it be something simple instead of getting all stressed out and having all the outlaws over to abuse your home.
