To persevere with this metaphor, the answer would be NO, you don't have to buy the cow if the milk is free. However, the cost of sustaining the cow and producing the milk is not free; and, as an ethical person, you should feel a moral obligation to contribute funds to support said cow and continued milk production.

good question, don't you need a cow first before you can get the milk for free. Some say that if you treat someone too well they will leave. Others disagree. I think it just depends on what you want and what you are looking for at the time. Everyone goes through different phases and sometimes we just want a one night stand and sometimes we want the real thing. Just go with your gut instinct.

Buy the cow even if you get the milk for free, cause you can't get the beef without buying the cow

It's misleading.
Nobody buys the cow for the milk.

No, I do not agree with that, but most of my friends whom are guys, do believe in that. But, I agree you never get the gallon free, sometimes you think you do but then something happens or you get a gift from your cow or pig. I would certainly date the cow and or the pig, but if guys have that attitude, then why can't girls. Oh yeah, because we will be called a slut and/or a whore. Damn double standards!

Free milk?! That would certainly help out with the grocery bill, and since I have no place to keep a cow, I guess it makes sense!

I dunno Agree, not in a way to judge you, but I think one day all that "free milk" will be over, and no more "cows" to buy... then you will be lonely without the milk and the cow....

Just think what will happen in 20 years... if you're going to be able to get more "free milk" or just buy your "right cow" and be happy with it.

wish you the best

You have to buy the cow in order to get free milk.
That reference was to say " why marry someone when you can have sex with any one you choose with no committment".
People who don't like to make a commitment are shallow self centered people.

Nope, I disagree. My boyfriend has gotten plenty of milk and he's still gonna buy this cow in a couple of years. :p
