It seems like lately that so many of the movie trailers give away the whole story, that I wonder why I even need to go see the film at all. Do you find this to be true as well?

I think Fun With Dick and Jane....couple of mintues of trailer, crammed with the whole "fun" quotient of the movie. Watch the trailer and you've seen the fun, so the rest is just "Filler with Dick and Jane".

Some trailers were much better than the movies. They should have had the director of the trailer make the movie in some cases. What gets me is renting a dvd of a really bad movie. You are amazed how bad a certain movie turned out and wonder why they put deleted scenes on the dvd features. You cant imagine how bad the deleted scenes must be.

Sad enough, its the story of my life. *sigh* I've seen things coming long before they happen.....and I've often wondered, why even bother living through it when I know what the outcome is going to be? *shrugs* I guess because once all of the pieces of the puzzle are put together...it somehow makes it more enjoyable. There are always certain parts (which the trailer may not show you) which I find entertaining...or sad....or interesting. And perhaps the people who create the trailers don't include the parts I want to see....or maybe even the parts I need to see. Oh man....its late at night...what the heck do I know? And why is this question still open? *sluggishly walks away realizing her Friday night is pathetic and maybe she should've gone to a movie*

Yes, i saw the trailer of the new movie with kevin costern and the guy who married demi moore (ashton something), you can see all the story of the movie in this trailer.

I dont know which is worst, when u see all the basic story in the movie trailer or when u see the best parts of the movie (like a comedy or horror movie trailer) and then when u see the movie u realized u already saw the best parts when u watched the trailer.

The teaser trailer for Spider-Man 3. I mean, they don't call it a teaser trailer for no reason but they practically gave away the whole movie! I don't know about the second question, though. Because in every movie trailer I've seen they give away the entire plot, but not the ending. There's your reason to go see the flick. You need to know how it ends.

I cant think of anything specific. I hate the movies that look funny in the trailer but when u see the movie, all the funny parts were in the trailer. what annoys me almost as much is how many dam trailers do we have to sit through til we get to see the movie we were trying to watch.

Little Nicky"
Thankfully too, I was able to resist rushing out and seeing it or even renting it. I wish I would listen to this voice more often.
Sometimes the best moments are in the trailers and when you come to see the movie you may as well have not wasted your time. We rented "The Brothers Grimm" because the trailers looked so cool and found that it was really just not to our fancy.

It's gotta be the trailer for Cast Away. It was beyond stupid how the trailer gave away the most crucial focus of the story.

I would say most of them have given away too much.
Wish also they would turn down the sound. It is ear splitting at times. But then I guess they have to do that for all the deaf young folks that are turning up at the movie theatres damanged by blasting their earphones to jet level.
And what's with the ads, I thought we paid to watch the movie and not advertisement. That really sucks!

Another thing, is those huge screeens, which I welcome, but then they don't back the seats far enough so you can actually watch a movie in the centre row without feeling like you are on a roller coaster ride.

Is it just me? lol

I agree with Cap'n Donna. Lady in the water is anoying. Working for Blockbuster and hearing our trailer dvd, that movie is on there every 10-12 min on a 24 hour trailer just to promote that movie. Kudo's to Cap'n Donna you hit the spot.

You are younger than I. I can recall trailers in drive-ins( boy they took up a lot of room). " The technicolor screen is ablaze in cinematic passion as sultry screen siren Kitty Litter and Hollywood Hunk Mark Spot come together( could they say come together in the fifties?) in a blaze of cinematic spectacle unrivaled in movie history. Cecil B.(been through the mill) directs and oversees the casting couch. It is bigger and more majestic than even last week's film." The Trailers were even better than the movie. It made my unpopped popcorn kernels pop. Say that three times fast.
