I am planning a new cage to go into the corner of the living room. It will be about 5x5x6 feet tall and I am planning to make it like a piece of furniture, so it looks really nice. I live in a cold climate, so the front will be wire mesh with removable plexiglass. I've already got plans for ventilation, basking spot and I want to paint the background to look like a jungle. My iguana is still small , but I am bulding this for the size he will be. I am also building in a humidifier for better moisture for him, as we live in a dry area. I also have a portable outside enclosure for him to bask outside and get fresh air, and he is in there every day it is warm enough oudoors.

Iguanas do not all reach 6', most mature around 5' or less. You will need a cage roughly the size of a small room, but I have a better alternative for you: Get a large treebranch and prop it up on a corner wall. Have your heat lamp and UV mounted on the wall. A small piece of lenolium, cardboard, or chair mat can be placed underneath. Set the water bowl here also, unless you plan to give him a daily bath. I also have a juvanile iguana is this is my future plan.

If you can, build him an outdoor cage- the bigger the better. The cage that the previous owner of my first iguana made for us is outside, and it's about ten feet long, five feet wide, and six feet tall. Iguanas need plenty of room to run around and grow in.
You could always ask around at a local pet store for someone who will make a cage for you if you're not willing or unable to make your own.

The most awesome iguana cage I have ever seen was made out of a china cabinet. There was room for large sticks for it to climb on and to even plant vegitation. They had taken the glass out and replaced it with screen. It took a lot of space but it was a happy critter.

Roto till it up, blend with a lot of manure and fertilizer. water it down or enable it get rained on some cases. Loosen precise layer of soil then positioned grass seed on it, tamp it down gently with the flat component of a hoe or some thing comparable then conceal with hay and verify out to maintain the birds away. they'll eat the seed in the event that they could. The seed should not be buried extra that a million/8th inch deep. merely remember to've an excellent mix of seed for the section which you rather choose, like do no longer positioned a colour blend in finished sunlight or vice versa. good success.
