Uhhhh...that's just a wonderful analogy. (sarcasm) Liberals love America in the same way that Conservatives say they do. Know why? Because we are ALL AMERICANS! I know you really want to believe that all Libs are Anti-America, but that couldn't be further from the truth. We love this country so much that when we see that something is going wrong, we want to change things for the better. Unfortunately, all you see is that we speak out against the administration and then you continue to bash the party by calling us "troop haters," or "communists." I've seen it a million times if I've seen it once and it's disgusting. To think that an American would turn on a fellow countryman like that and demonize them for having a voice. It's simply disgraceful. Shame on anyone who says that an American hates this country when you don't even know the one you are criticizing.
And we are not trying to kill this country...that is what you were implying, no? If we were trying to do so, don't you think we would have when we were in power? Yeah...instead, the country was looking pretty damned good back then. Look at it now. And WE are the bad ones.

Most liberals love America like a parent and child. When your child has a fever, you don't waste time bragging to everyone that he's an honor student, you take him to the doctor. And you don't accuse the doctor of hating your child when he points out that he has an infection. You thank the doctor, you get the prescription antibiotics, and you work hard to heal your child.

Conservatives tend to be closer to the relationship you describe. Most conservatives seem to love America in a "my country can do no wrong" way. They act like the battered spouse in an abusive relationship. No matter how many times he comes home and beats her, he's still a good man. No matter how many times he goes to jail it was a frame job, a mistake, the cops were out to get him. Besides, he's not abusive all the time; there are plenty of times when he really is a good caring husband.

Remember, the pair of gloves you have as evidence is not going to fit every liberal you try them on...
