What the heck does this mean?

I had the same kind of thing happen to me before. Atleast 2-3 times. I don't know if it was a mole...I thought it was a hedgehog-because it came out of the hedges. They waddle and turn their heads up toward the sun or something and looks like they are smiling. It is wierd! I was at 2 different places and saw it, when it saw me it started running toward me with it's head up all crazy like. I ran and shut the door both times. When I opened it back up, it was gone. I don't know how it would know you were at a window though, I was always outside right in front of it when it crept up.

I think it means he is quite happy with his environment. And the smile just confirms it.!!!!
Or...it doesn't mean anything and he just "looks" like he is smiling.
