I personally don't buy the insanity defense for her. I think she is guilty of murder

she is insane for killing her kids. So hell yes she is guilty

That's not debateable. She was convcited of murder. Of that the defense doesn't contest. It's the death penalty phase that was the issue. Insane or sane? The jury found her insane. What else could you be if you murder you're five kids?
Of course...Susan Smith did it because her kids were a burden and she wanted to screw around with another guy who didn't want to become involved because she had children. So...what better way to solve this dilema than drowning your kids and then manufacturing a story to tell the police.

that isn't insanity. that's premeditation. That's a death penalty argument that's pro in my estimation.

It doesn't matter what I think, it is what the jury thinks. And apparently they just found her "not guilty" due to insanity.

Now, here's what I think ;) I think anyone who kills their 5 kids needs to be tortured in the most slow and painful manner possible. And then put to death.

We are in a time of the runaway court system. She needs to go back to trial and be convicted of murder. This one is not over yet.

dude i am beyond pissed that they found her not guilty. i guess committing a crime and using insanity as an excuse is easy and convincing!!!

She has to be insane for killing her children, but, she should pay the price for it.
