If not, the season is comming in VA. Beach VA. I went and it was amaaazing. IT costs $25 per person and you go out on a boat..you go out to the lighthouse and they stop, and all the whales come up to the boat to show off and check you out. They are huge!!! Eye balls the size of basketballs!

Yep.. 25 year comm. fisherman, have seen bunches of whales. Always amazes me. Just last week (salmon trolling) on a small 32 footer, alls I saw was this whale tail going straight down, approx.40-50 yards away.. was larger than the boat I was on (HUGE WHALE) still rushing from it. Couple years ago fishing Westport Wa. saw a pod or pack of killer whales heading north. It was mothers with their babies. I'm guessing 75-100 whales. Then about 20 minutes later another pack about twice the size of the first. Sure kick myself for not having a camera with me. Anyway good luck.

Yes, I have. It was thrilling. I went with friends to Boston and we took a catamaran charter. About 45 minutes into the trip, the captain spotted 3 finback whales and we closed in. The boat had to stay a certain distance away, but we got the most upclose & personal view of 2 adults and 1 calf. The calf was very inquisitive and tried to come close but the adults wouldn't let it. They rolled over a few times and bared their tummies at us. And blew lots of water at us too! Nature at its most beautiful.

I have been. It was nice. I went twice. Once with my sisters fifth grade class and agian with mine. I loved it. It was beautiful.
