The act of killing a person is a conscious act. To do it five times is even more of a conscious act. She is so very vewry guilty and the courts made a very evil decision. One thing the courts may be trying to do is pave the way for protection of mentally disabled people. This still is no excuse. You can be mentally disabled and crazy, and still have morality. That is a proven fact.

Not necessarily. They found her not guilty by reason of insanity. To be insane is a legal term. Someone is sane if they do something wrong and try to cover it up; that signifies they know it is wrong. She called authorities immediately after the drowning to tell them what she did. So, she isn't guilty, she is not guilty. Meaning she did it, but with intention by distinct state of mind that was differential from the norm.

Have You watched any of the trails? The woman is INSANE and I feel CERTAIN her husband knew that she was in serious trouble and chose to do Nothing! He should be punished along with her. I agree what she did deserves the death penalty but her husband is also guilty. Putting her to death would put her out of her misery. Would this be a cop out? Golly I would hate to be the one who made a decision like this.

To find this obviously mentally ill person guilty was a travesty of justice the first time and says the prosecutor or Texas laws are not what they should be. She belongs in a mental hospital not prison.

I think these jurors have more of a clue than the first ones. First of all, for anyone to believe in a god, or that a god speaks to them, they are insane.

Unreal, I think she knew exactly what she did! She even called the police and waited for them. I think if she was insane, she would have disappeared like nothing happened. That's justice! I am not a woman either so maybe I don't get it, do women think she was insane! She even struggled with a few of the kids.

She is a VERY sick woman. I also have bi-polar with severe depression & she had her pig husband Rusty on her all the time making her pregnant. Couldn't he open his eyes & see maybe after the 3rd or 4th baby she wasn't handling things too well ?
I hope she gets the help she desperately needs now.

She really is crazy. She lived around the corner from me so my community has been following it closely. She had severe mental problems BEFORE she got pregnant. Pregnancy makes mental problems 10x worse if you don't get help. She begged for help many times but her husband and psychiatrist blew her off and they kept having babies. It's not right...she should be locked up forever...but it's not entirely her fault.

She should be confined for the rest of her life. For those who feel that she should be punished, remember that where she's going they give the patients anti-psychotic medicine. Imaginge how she'll feel when the insanity goes away. I don't see her getting out anytime in the near future.
