How do the parents know that she has had sex with the adult if the minor refuses to admit it??? It would probably be a little harder to get formal charges pressed if the minor is unwilling to admit it...but I'm sure it could still be done....the police would probably talk to the minor and get her to admit it....

Alot of ignorance on age of consent laws despite many links provided to the age tables. If 16 is the age of consent in your state then parents etc. can do nothing. The age of the other person is a big factor also no one will bother if all in the 16-19 age group for the most part. To prosecute cooperation would be needed from the so called victim. Unless a pregnancy is involved there is no physical evidence only circumstantial and they would not even have that without the younger individuals cooperation. Someone can not be prosecuted in the US based on someones beliefs if that were so I could say I think so and so will murder someone and they would be prosecuted. You have no crime without a victim.

well, for one if your 18 then you are considered an adult and there's nothing they can do. but if you are a Minor then just don't admit having sex with them. what else can they do.? if you just keep refusing it ever happened, they will give up on it. i was in the same situation. when me and my boyfriend got together i was 14 and he was 20. we had the same problems but, i just kept denying everything and they just got tired of it and gave up. now we are still together, I'm 18 and hes 24. since I'm legal now, they cant do anything and my family have accepted him now.

its totally elegal if the minor and the adult were to have sex no matter if the minor was in favor of the adult, the adult would still go to jail for sexual abuse of a minor and may face up to 10 years in jail

Depends on what state you live in. There is a consenting age where the minor can make the decision to have sex

yes, as a minor you can not enter into any kind of "contract" (such as it is) without parental consent. They can have you taken to a doctor who can easily tell what you have been up to, and you have no say in the matter. for what its worth, minors being tagged by adults is wrong, wrong and bad, bad and wrong. YUCK!

She's a minor. If she won't admit she had intercourse, you can probably get a medical exam to prove otherwise if you need to.

i think if you like that older person then girls should just go for it and the parents shouldn't be able to press charges if the girl does not to admit to intercourse.

Yes, they can have a "rape" kit done on the child to find out if it happened. They can charge the adult because of endangering the wellfare of the child.
