Just because your the winning superbowl QB does not mean your best. The steelers have an exception defense and running backs. I don't tthink Big Ben is even a Top 5 QB.

ex. Brett Farve is a superior QB but has a poor offensive line and few targets down the field. His team had a bad season with a great QB

Not even close. If he can have a season like last year the next 4 years than I'll give it some consideration. His stats are no where near Mannings, and Tom Brady has won three Super Bowl's in only 5 seasons, including one in his first year as a starter, something Big Ben didnt do.

He has the potential to be but he isn't at the moment, he's is just surrounded by an incredible team who takes up every inch of slack in every area he falls short. To his credit in the few times he has had to step up and carry the team through a drive he has done so but mostly its been the running backs bullying their way through the defensive line, blockers giving him ample time, receivers making exceptional plays and an exceptional display of teamwork.

Peyton Manning, Bret Favre and Steve McNair are all exceptional quarterbacks but all their teams have been lacking in one area or another. Tom Brady would be another candidate for best quarterback but as is obvious with the career of Dan Marino it isn't always the Superbowl winners who have the best quarterback. Often a team who has the best QB has to sacrifice other areas to pay them and many times are unsuccessful because of that. So instead of saying Ben is the best I would say that the Steelers are the most complete team now that they have him as he was their only missing element to take them from a great team to the best team. If they repeat they will be in position to challenge the Patriots for their spot as the most dominant dynasty in recent history.

No.......He's a good game manager, one of the best in the league. But he isn't the best QB in the game. The steelers win with defense and clock control. Big Ben has to run the offense, eat up clock, and not turn the ball over. He does all of that well, but it doesn't make him the best QB. Peyton Manning is the best pure QB in the league.

Nope - he is a good team leader but really he isn't that good of a pure QB. Not to mention that he was in a serious Motocycle accident this summer and might not be 100% for this year's season.

Best overall QB would have to be Tom Brady because of his record over the last 5 years.

No, he's not the best, but he is smart enough to use all the weapons the Steelers posses (and they have the whole nine yards). He's a great leader, and don't forget, this will only be his third season. The greatest QB's in league history weren't classic passers, but used all the tools their teams had. Give Big Ben time.

No way. The only way he won a super bowm ring was with a LOT of help from the officials. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer, Matt Hasselbeck... all better than Roethlisburger.

No...sorry. Fantasy-wise, Peyton is. Reality-wise, Tom Brady is. Big Ben has the ring to validate such an argument but he's going to have to put up the numbers Peyton does and get as many rings as Brady to top either.

Tom Brady has 3 rings and a better overall quarterback. Peyton Manning is better than anyone statistically but has no rings yet. I rank Ben behind these guys as best quarterback.
